[Another month, another night of full moons approaches, which means another few nights of complete agony as Katsuki hides in the bathroom, as far away from the moonlight as he can be.
At first this seemed to work but each month it gets harder and harder to keep in control. As much as he tells himself that he's going to fight this thing until he wins, he can't help wonder if maybe he should have left before he bites Deku's hand off or something. The shitty nerd couldn't stay away to save his life.
But his body's transforming more worse than ever. He has two pointed dog ears on head now, that burst through his skull like some fucking alien creature and it's making his entire head pound as he swears he can hear everyone in the city breath.
Katsuki exhales running his claws down the side of the bathtub, leaving deep cuts and blood streaks across the ceramic. It gives him a sick sort of satisfaction. What could he do if he just... let it all happen? How deep could his claws cut? What could he break...? Who could stop him...?
Except, fuck. He's a hero. He won't. He won't let himself change.]
[ Izuku has never been able to keep away from anything to save his life. It's a hero's duty to stick his nose in, right...? Or at least that's something he's come to believe in, and because of that whenever Katsuki hides himself away Izuku trails after. He brings things sometimes, and sometimes he'll just sit outside the door, worrying, but sometimes he'll hear things that cause him to go beyond that barrier.
Careful, cautious...
And always, always concerned. ]
Kacchan? [ His voice is soft in the dark as he knocks on the door. ]
[The knock feels like it pounds inside his skull. Katsuki growls in pain and inclines his head, pressing his forehead against the cool tile floor.
He wants Deku to leave. But Deku fucking never leaves. He's always there. Trailing behind him, hands outstretched, nervous but determined. At least it's a constant in this utter hellhole.
Katsuki licks his lips, struggling to find a tone that doesn't waver, before he growls out.]
Oh just come the fuck in. I know you're going to anyway.
[ That's all the permission he needs, no matter how grudgingly it was given. Izuku opens the door and comes in, shutting it quietly to mitigate the amount of light that was let in. ]
[Is the snapped reply that's not as convincing as he wants it to be. The blood on his fingers and scratches on his arms betray the truth. As do the animal ears that have formed on the top of his head. When the door opens, he shifts backwards, as far into the corner and away from the light as possible.
He really does look a wounded animal, curled in the corner, growling at anyone who tries to get too near. He's afraid like one too, even if he doesn't want to admit it.]
[He growls but it sounds pained and without malice. Katsuki tenses as pain shoots down his entire body and he fights the urge to contort against it. Just a few more hours... He lurches closer to the toilet in case the sensation causes him to gag.
Or just being around Deku makes him vomit. But he has to admit... there's something grounding about the other boy being there.]
