I don't mind the bad luck when it comes to the good luck I get in exchange...but, uh, I try not to rely on the latter because of the former, yeah.

[ He probably could afford to rely on it a little bit though. ]

It's stupid to rely on luck. But capitalizing on it when it happens is a skill anyone should know. Especially in a fight.

[Katsuki only treats it as a happenstance that he'll acknowledge when happens, but doesn't count on it at all. Skill trumps luck almost 100% of the time.]

Well, yeah! Take any opening you can, right? I just tend to assume sometimes I might get hit with bad luck too...like getting my legs trapped or something.

Psh. I can see it now... Deku crouches in preparation for a mighty jump-! Only to almost rip his quads in half thanks to getting his legs stuck in a fucking rope.

[Sniggering at the mental image, he bumps his shoulder into the other boy's, far more a lazy and casual thing than the aggressive and mean-spirited "bumps" he used to give Izuku during their childhood.]

When I was fighting Gentle, I like - he got me stuck in things once or twice...

[ It was mostly an absurd battle but hey. Izuku shakes his head... ]

I think tactics that impair my mobility are really pretty effective. Well, that's true of most people!

You're pretty good at staying airborne now. Shouldn't be as much a problem.

[Gentle had been one of the final nails in the coffin regarding Izuku's reputation as a danger magnet to unreal degrees.]

No shit. Unless you're a tank and turret, moving's kinda fucking important.

[Murder threads are definitely happening, eyes flashing as he gets on the platform and starts to cycle through the songs.

There are a few pairs of eyes watching them, mostly judging to see if they're worth the competition.]

[ Izuku gets up on his side of the platform and allows Katsuki to handle the setup, mostly focused on getting into position. ]

[Katsuki scrolls through the songs, finding the one Izuku picked out, then setting his own preference, and then finally the Gem Knights theme they both like.]

[ That means the first song is insanely upbeat pop. Is Katsuki ready for this? It's a love song too but fast paced. ]

[It's still one Katsuki's heard and he's worked it before with Izuku during one of their earlier trips to the arcade. So he gets into the groove and beat and starts landing those arrows right away.]

[ Izuku's managing to hit his own arrows pretty well. And happily? He misses maybe one or two here or there but not many. He's played this song before. ]
