[Plus Katsuki can't be sure this trivia is basic enough, or if it's entirely Noctium focused, or some "all the worlds" focused. Which would be biting off way more than they can chew... Likely not going to be queries on All Might and his history in that game.]

Tile flip and the price one.

[He stops in front of the tiling game, scowling down at it like he's about to face off against a detestable enemy.]

[ And need to make 1000. ]

50. Bet in increments of 5.

[It's a small bet, but that's because this is nothing more than a test round. Variable control. Katsuki takes a set of ten and tears it in half, then slips the 5 into the machine.

The device powers up immediately, flashing lights and flipping the digital jeweled tiles. It's a mixture of card matching and roulette.]

The one time I tried this, no matching tiles were coming up...

[ Shitty luck day. ]

It's best to pass every third round if it starts fucking up.

[Katsuki scans the board in focus as the tiles flip and reveal their digital contents. Gems and Fruits of seven different colors.

A brief time is all they have to memorize the locations before the tiles flip back around and then shuffle on the "board" below. Once done, they space out and lines glow between them.

Katsuki places one ticket between a green apple and a peridot gem. Then places another ticket above the red cherry and corresponding ruby.

The others are too spread out to form a match (from what he remembers).]

Remember any others?

Yes!

[ Izuku points out a banana tile, then another flipped over. ]

And then...here and here.

[Banana and topaz, yellow for yellow. Good match. Katsuki nods and slides the ticket into place.

The other two choices get the last two tickets and Katsuki hits the button to trigger the selection.

The tiles flash before flipping over. 5 out of 5 correct. Payout is 25 tickets, netting them a 20+ their original pot.]

[ They've got about, oh...2120 from their efforts today so far? ]

Sometimes I think you really are some god's favorite.

[Well on their way, so long as their luck on gambling big doesn't run out.]

Heh! I don't need some damn god's help. We owned this board on our own memory!

[Katsuki throws a sidelong smirk at his boyfriend.]

[ Don't let Izuku roll the dice and it might just work... ]

Does that mean bet an even bigger amount?

[No worries about that, since this if more keeping track of tile placements and what's on them, with no dice involved anywhere.]

Yeah. Try ten this time.

We should divide the board in half between us to memorize maybe - no, I guess we might need to discuss too much after...

[ He can't help strategizing though. ]

We'll have to keep track of the tiles we memorize when they rearrange themselves...

[But he's not disagreeing with the strategy. It'll be easier to keep track and memorize ten rather than try to absorb all twenty.]

Yeah, but that does give us less to memorize and makes our chances of knowing where they go better, right?

[ And that way there's no overlap. Or less. ]

Yeah. You take the right ten and I'll take the left.

[Katsuki slips in ten tickets this time, from the twenty they just got, and the game lights up once more. The tiles flip over, revealing the gems and fruits with their specific colors. Seven gems and seven fruits, each sharing one of the seven colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink. Gives them the same short time period to look over the tiles...

and then flips the tiles back down before shuffling them around on the surface. Lines light up between them like a roulette table, letting them place their ticket counters on the board as they want.]

[ Izuku puts down some tickets on matches in his specific tiles, then lets Katsuki do the same... ]

Red tile over here! [ Then it's matching the tiles between them. ]

[Katsuki quickly traces his memory of the tile's positions and their movements before putting the ticket where the red tile Izuku mentioned now matches the red fruit on his side. Good, that'll give them a bonus.]

The lemon's right here. [And taps (without touching) the tile near Izuku's side.] Did you follow where the topaz went?

[ Izuku hits the topaz immediately with a ticket. ]

Ok, um - I saw the citrine gem over here - ?

Shit, the orange is over here. They won't match.

[Katsuki scowls at the tiles, but with three confirmed matches and time running out, that might be their best play rather than risking a mistake in a panic.]

What about blue?

[ He points to it, deciding to spend the remainign time trying anyway. ]

[Katsuki frowns, scanning over the blank backs of his tiles. Blue... where'd the fucking blueberry go? It was in the middle, but then it moved... to... no that's... fuck!]

This one's grape. Where's your purple?

Purple...purple...

[ At a few seconds to go, Izuku points to ticket it. ]

[And TIME'S UP!! Katsuki snarls and lowers his hand.

The tiles flip themselves over and all three of their matches were right, sending out another 25 tickets as a reward.]

Payout today doesn't suck.

Hm...if we keep this up we just need to play, uh...about 37 more times.

[ ...or so. ]
