...I could try. [ He's never done anything like that before and isn't sure how far his talents go, so it probably wouldn't be instant. ]

Then that's what I want to wager. Try to make an exploding flower if I win.

[He doesn't expect it to be instant, more curious to see what Izuku can do with the motivation and direction. Of course, if he does manage to get a boom-boom flower, it'll be fucking awesome. (And sweet.)]

All right. [He's game for that. Trusts Izuku not to end up going crazy with it.]

[ He won't! He kind of used to use bets to ask for dates he wanted but he hasn't for a while. ]

Then I think we're tied right now.

[Katsuki's been trying to make it so Izuku doesn't have to use his betting to get dates, wanting to make dates between them common enough his boyfriend won't have to feel like he got to force them out of the blonde.]

Yeah. Wanna start gunning for those tickets now? Still got a slime to win.

[ It used to be more for stuff he Knew Katsuki wouldn't want to do, but he's more often suggesting safe options these days. The arcade was Katsuki's suggestion but is around what Izuku figures they both enjoy - casual, something active, not too long a wait. ]

Yes! Whichever games give the most tickets are what we should focus on if we want to do it in one go.

[Hmm... Katsuki looks around the arcade as two people slide into the motorcycle racer behind them. Basketball hoops, whack-a-moles, roll balls, frogs and coins, win a deals, pinball, punching bags, even a simulated jump rope.]

Ball tosses are the most consistent, but the gambling games have the most payout.

...How's your gambling luck?

[ Katsuki is skilled at a lot of things. Maybe he's somehow skilled at that too? ]

Fucking awesome, if the game knows what's best for it.

[At least he knows how to capitalize off of luck without ever admitting it.]

Okay, because mine is kinda hit and miss sometimes - so, uh, ordinary?

[ He has decent gacha luck but that doesn't really apply he thinks. ]

Some machines have different payoffs and rates, but it takes a while to figure out.

[More time than they've allotted today. Still an option.

Katsuki thinks Izuku's luck swings wildly, going from really bad to incredibly good with no rhyme or reason.]

[ That's pretty much it. Izuku can win amazing stuff sometimes, but there's also a solid chance he'll lose all their tickets. So. ]

I mean, we can try it with a small amount if you're confident.

[Katsuki won't let them lose all their tickets. If the gambling starts to go south, he'll cut their losses quickly and go to a more consistent game.]

That's the plan.

[Pool a small amount, see how their luck and payout goes, and decide from there. Katsuki strides towards the games. There are a few, from a Wheel of Fortune trivia type to a tile-flipping memorization to a finance-based price guessing game.]

[ An actual straight trivia thing he'd excel at, but Izuku's sure his luck somehow would get him odd questions or something. ]

Which ones have you done before?

[Plus Katsuki can't be sure this trivia is basic enough, or if it's entirely Noctium focused, or some "all the worlds" focused. Which would be biting off way more than they can chew... Likely not going to be queries on All Might and his history in that game.]

Tile flip and the price one.

[He stops in front of the tiling game, scowling down at it like he's about to face off against a detestable enemy.]

50. Bet in increments of 5.

[It's a small bet, but that's because this is nothing more than a test round. Variable control. Katsuki takes a set of ten and tears it in half, then slips the 5 into the machine.

The device powers up immediately, flashing lights and flipping the digital jeweled tiles. It's a mixture of card matching and roulette.]

The one time I tried this, no matching tiles were coming up...
