[ He honestly does not know if he's wanted there by anyone, least of all Katsuki, since there's a few hospitals and Katsuki's low on the details of which one and he had to have been asked along by either Shoto or someone else. And Izuku wasn't asked to by anyone, which indicates he needs to stay out of the way so everyone else can focus on the person who matters most: their friend, who's hurt.

But he appreciates being told for that reason. Instinctively he doesn't want to cause anyone extra stress, wants to check himself despite knowing he's not invited, and wonders what it is Shoto would want from them.

Is anyone checking on the other half of that equation? Somehow...he thinks Shoto wouldn't have done lethal damage. So, hypothetically...is that something he should try instead? But Dabi wouldn't want that, either.

Izuku feels uncertain what to think otherwise. Shoto hadn't mentioned a slugfest and Izuku's advice had not included one but in retrospect...yeah, sounds more likely. ]

[ ...Doesn't want to ask for more details and split Katsuki's focus at all when it needs to be elsewhere, so he'll keep it brief. At the very least critical condition should be easily fixed. Medical care here is very good, when you seek it out. ]

[Okay, Mr. Pessimist. If he didn't want you there, why the fuck would he be alerting you to the information right now? It's because of Izuku's actions and feelings over the past two weeks that Katsuki's not dropping a fucking impersonal report on his lap. He wants to gauge his interest and response before bothering to give him more information. For all he fucking knows, Izuku'd assume guilt over not being there to keep Shoto safe and wouldn't want to show up due to that, then feel even worse because Katsuki went and gave him all the details about the other boy's current location and status, thus somehow getting the idea that he's expected to turn his ass up to the hospital room like a good little soldier even when he doesn't want to be there!

They're going to have a lot to Never Talk About once all of this is over. If all of this is ever over.

Katsuki frowns at the screen in front of him, wondering if he should push Izuku further with this. Should he tell him to get his damn butt over there to see his friend, screw how Izuku feels about it? Should he leave it at that and let Izuku remember he can use his GPS tracker to easily find Shoto's whereabouts and thus make the decision to come see him be something entirely on Izuku's shoulders, no pressure from anyone else? And should he task Izuku with reaching out to the two people who haven't been reached out to as well: Hawks and Jiro (for all Katsuki knows)? And where the hell does he get off thinking he's uninvited when Katsuki JUST FUCKING INVITED HIM?! What'd Izuku expect, for Shoto to drag his critical status cooked ass over to his phone and send him a personal invite?!

God dammit! Katsuki feels like he knows absolutely nothing about this version of Izuku who came back and simultaneously knows too fucking much about him!

... and if Izuku wants to go fucking worry about Dabi, go for it. Katsuki's done.]

[There's a moment of silence before the coordinates to Shoto's hospital ping up on Izuku's phone, complete with his room number and floor level. And a few seconds later, a scan of the side of the building with a certain window highlighted. Cause he's thorough like that and figures Izuku might probably not want to go walking through the halls in his state.]

You should come now. You're his friend.

[Stop making up "unspoken hints" to fuel your emo ass. Fuck it. Even if Izuku doesn't think so, Katsuki knows Shoto considers Izuku his friend and he's pretty fucking sure the half-cold-half-hot hero would be hurt if he knew one of his closest friends didn't show up for him. And that likely Izuku would be kicking himself later for not going.]

[ He's worried about Dabi only because he thinks Shoto might be. He honestly doesn't have much patience for anyone who hurts his friends (...a lot more than most people would have, although he's manifested an entirely new quirk when someone insulted Katsuki, so you know) but he's pretty sure this had to have been Shoto's attempt to make a connection.

And he doesn't think Shoto's going to be scared off.

As to the rest...he's in a weird mood, the weather isn't helping, and he feels a disconnect to a lot of things, but of course he wants to be there. He's just having some self esteem issues. He'd have probably hovered outside the building without anything more solid, although if he'd heard during or before the fight he'd have come immediately. ]

I haven't heard from her recently but I can message her. Might be a good idea to set up a group chat at some point for at least the heroes.

[ It's one of those things he thought about offering to do earlier but second guessed as "what if other people hate it". ]

[Katsuki has no doubt that Dabi survived; Shoto won't kill his brother. But right now, he's not keen on going out there to look for the man. His focus in on his classmate and Izuku. Hell, all this month his focus is on "everything else" and Izuku. Dabi can handle himself. And if he can't, well he shouldn't have picked the fucking fight. Katsuki has zero patience for people who get themselves into shit and then "need" to get rescued from their own bad choices.

That said, he can't abandon Izuku to his flunk right now. Because he knows it's not all Izuku's doing or want. Can't pull him from it, but he can certainly shove him back towards shore and do his damnest to keep him in the shallows as much as possible so the other hero doesn't go under. It's not like Katsuki got any real warning about the fight. Just that Shoto was going to have to deal with 'family shit' sometime in the future.

[It... wasn't a pretty sight. Katsuki had zero intention of letting the hospital staff turn him away from seeing Shoto. Even the excuse of "only immediate family" was met with an extremely pissed off reminder that they've been ripped away from their families and for all these fucking nurses and doctors know, HE'S the only goddamn "family" Shoto's fucking got! Especially since he's from the same world. So unless they wanted him to drag their protesting faces through the hospital and into Shoto's room, or have Katsuki go through the stupid window, then they should get out of his fucking way.

Meeting up with Eijiro wasn't any easier. The guy was beside himself with anger and frustration over the entire thing, leading to a small argument since Katsuki had known about Shoto's potential clash with his brother and hadn't said anything or tried to stop him. Katsuki shot back the unbreakable hero hadn't listened to "Stop it" either when he, Izuku, and the others ran after him post-training camp. Why the hell did he think Shoto would listen? Unless they wanted to fucking chain him up in the room or something.

Waiting for Izuku to get there was bothersome, since Katsuki honestly wasn't sure if the guy was going to show up or not. He could easily flake off and opt out due to some emergency coming up or his own nerves turning him away. Cue a silent relief when he saw the other boy coming down the hall. No idea how Izuku got through the front desk, if he threatened or just sad puppied his way through or came in a nearby window instead. Maybe he looked scruffy and injured enough the hospital staff thought he needed treatment as well? (Which probably isn't a bad idea since Izuku's in a hospital right now...)

Katsuki remained silent while Izuku took his time with his friend. Shoto was still unconscious--well, sleeping at least--when they came so it was more a viewing than any real kind of visit. Unless Izuku wanted to talk with Eijiro for a while. It was only afterwards that Katsuki left the room and headed to the nearby area to take a seat. Leaving Eijiro to look over Shoto while he slept.

There were probably some things Katsuki and Izuku needed to talk about right now too. Namely, for Katsuki, seeing if he could get the other boy to eat and drink something while he took a rest.]

[ Sometimes looking sad and tired and half dead will get you places looking murderous won't. Izuku mentally makes a note that setting up legal friends and family lists in Noctium might not be a bad idea, but doesn't say much on arrival. His visit is quiet, and he doesn't linger too much to talk to people.

He doesn't exactly leave right away either, but he goes a ways down the hall towards some windows after.

Not to escape from them, but to look out. He doesn't want to be too involved in any of the arguing that's happened, and he's not sure he's upset at Shoto at all. ]

[He kind of played that same idea when he dared Dabi to go into the medical clinic and ask for aid rather than assuming he had to steal or kill to get some. Fucking worked too. Bastard. He's not surprised Izuku pulled it off as well, considering the other hero looks like shit.

It's not like Shoto's awake for visits much anyways. Katsuki wanted Izuku here to at least support his friend. Also wanted to get the four of them together to at least see their states before separating again. With Jiro on radio silence, the two pro heroes wrapped up in themselves, and their remaining worldmate being a villain, their little Class 1-A four is what they've got.

Katsuki and Eijiro's argument isn't too bad and after the blonde goes out for some rest, he finally tails over to Izuku. Probably not even to talk. Just to stand beside him.]

[ Izuku glances over, but seeing who it is he relaxes a little bit. Katsuki's easily the person he's most comfortable around even this month, and rarely tries to get Izuku to talk about his feelings or anything.

But he leans against the window, one arm dangling between them. ]

[Katsuki barely lets his arm drift to the side and brush his fingertips over Izuku's. Almost an unconscious touch that's there but faint. Simply a reminder that he's here and tangible.]

He's gonna be all right.

[Shoto's tough. He won't go down to this kind of shit.]

He'll be happy to know you came to see him.

[ There but faint. For the moment, Izuku lets it stay that way. He doesn't move away, but he doesn't lock their fingers like he would have at any other time. ]

I know. It isn't really over though.

[He's not looking to lock fingers or hold hands. Only to have this bare touch to let Izuku know there's contact between them. Perhaps enough for some small lances of synchrony to happen, or not some warmth.]

Probably never will be so long as they're both here.

[ Possibly Izuku knows that, or possibly he just doesn't want to put Katsuki on the spot in public around friends, or possibly a million things.
