[ As long as Katsuki waited for Izuku to look, Izuku actually manages to catch it. ]

Motorbike?

[He waited. But still trusted his reflexes.]

Yeah. It's at least a half an hour walk even speed walking.

[ Izuku puts the helmet on, pulling the strap tight. ]

Sometimes there's the teleporters and stuff.

Yeah. But there's also riding together.

[Katsuki usually only likes to teleport when going to other islands. When around Sumarlok, driving and riding were better. He fastens his helmet and then wheels his motorcycle out of the garage.]

Wanna ride in front of me or behind?

Do you have a preference? I don't really know which is easier for you.

[ Also both have perks, sort of. ]

No preference. It's easier if you're behind me-

[Logical physics in reaching the controls easier and Izuku not being tiny and the balance of the bike.]

-but it's more fun when you're in front of me.

Then in front is fine with me!

[ Though he's not sure precisely how it's more fun. He does like being held though, so.

And it feels like he's driving sometimes. ]

[It's the first reason, and maybe something a little more boyfriend privilege. Katsuki moves to straddle the bike a bit behind the main seat, leaving Izuku free to hop himself onto it.]

Hey close the garage door first, kay?

[ If only a boyfriend gets to ride in front he'd be happy to know it? As it is, Izuku goes to punch in the code to close the door, before heading back over to get on in front of Katsuki. ]

Ready when you are!

[Once they're going.]

Yeah not so fast.

[Katsuki leans forward, chest up against Izuku's back, and hovers his hand over the bike handlebars. One of them makes a quick trip down to put the key in the ignition and turn it, causing the bike to rumble to life. Then back up the handlebars.]

Put your hands under mine.

[Where the revs are.]

[ There's a pause, but Izuku's hands go up after he stops having a Moment. ]

U-uh, yeah -

[ A lesson, or just...? ]

[Once Izuku's hands are up, Katsuki sets his atop the other hero's, fingers curling down to wrap both their hands around the motorcycle's handlebars.]

There. Just keep your grip and I'll move your hands.

[He pushes down with his wrist and hand, letting Izuku rev the bike's engine with the same motion. A partial lesson, getting used to the feeling of holding the bike and how the revving motion works along with the power.]

[ He was kind of looking forward to zoning out and letting himself just enjoy the ride, but Izuku nods and pays attention to the driving instead. Like with anything he does, it means he hyperfocuses on it, ignoring the feeling of Katsuki behind him and mentally triangulating instead on the bike and controls. ]

[That's for the way back. Katsuki squeezes his hand around Izuku's, letting them both power the motorcycle forward as it moves beneath them and carries the pair out onto the street. He handles the leaning to curve it around the bends in the road. Knowing Izuku'll focus on it, he at least gives him a few laps around the neighborhood to get familiar with things before heading out onto he actual roads.]

How's it feel?

[ Well, he's mumbling to himself. So he's taking mental notes at least, although it's a bit stressful; he likes to learn things but he does have a tendency to get way too involved in them.

Not like talking on a bike is super easy anyway. ]

Okay - [ Especially not if he mumbles. ]

[Especially with their helmets on and the wind. Katsuki's having to raise his voice some to get the words across. Maybe he should've saved the bike practice for a simple wander around the neighborhood.]

Good.

[Katsuki leans against Izuku's back again, pressing to him to keep him safely between himself and the bike.]

If you wanna take a break, tell me.

[ Normally that might fluster Izuku, but he's on task now so he just shifts to make room without thinking about it, nodding. He won't call for a break, since he doesn't think he needs one? ]

[Katsuki keeps his head tilted a little so he can watch the road ahead of them. Can't rest his chin on Izuku's shoulder due to their helmets. But he's still helping the other teen get a feel for how the motorcycle handles, from the bars to the revs to the brakes and leans. Even if he's the one in control for the most part, it should give some tactile familiarity. Plus Izuku's up front with the wind in his face.

Traffic isn't bad either, so they have a relatively uneventful drive.]

[ Once they're there, Izuku will actually need to pull out his notebook to jot some thoughts down to remember. It's how he learns. So he's going into this a little bit distracted and more in student mode than date mode, but that's probably okay? ]

[Katsuki's fine with this. He'll linger by the bike to check on some things while Izuku does a brain dump. It's not like he hasn't done the same while learning about motorcycles in the garages. Katsuki pulls a length of rubber-covered cable from the back compartment and starts to loop it through the wheels and body of his bike.There's a lock on either end that joins together via a combination.]

[ That gives him time to write, then. Ideally he'd be able to then review the material immediately, but they did have other plans so he'll need to skip that step for the time being. ]

[Katsuki's only gonna let him write it down. He won't bother him until he notes Izuku's pen finished moving. And then he'll lean over his shoulder.]

Get it all down, nerd?

[ Izuku jolts and steps away, shutting the notebook. ]

Oh, um, yeah! Sorry....it'd work better if we did another round right now, but.

How about one better and spend some time on it tomorrow? I can take you to a parking lot and let you test drive and take notes for an hour or two.

[Sure, they could do it now, but he'd already threaded and locked the bike up, and they came for the arcade. They can focus on the motorcycle lessons tomorrow.]

Oh, um, I couldn't ask you to spend the day with me twice in a row. But next time you wanna go out, sure.

[ They live together and all, but Izuku does try not to monopolize Katsuki's time when possible. Largely because he has the idea that he irritates his boyfriend in large doses sometimes. ]

I should get some books and things anyway.
